Download

Latest version: 3.0: waveme.exe (17.5MB downloaded from Dropbox via a Bitly shortcut).
A sample diagram XML file is at the bottom of this page.

Waveme is distributed as an unsigned 64-bit single-file executable for Windows 10 or newer.
It is a portable application - it doesn't require installation, and there are no configuration files.

Security & Antivirus Detection
Waveme should only be downloaded from this webpage and via the link above.

Since Waveme is distributed as an unsigned executable file, when you attempt to download it, your browser will warn you. When you run it for the first time, Windows will warn you. And, Waveme might be flagged by your antivirus program.

After you have downloaded Waveme, and before using it for the first time, please test it with Google's virustotal.com.
The most current virustotal.com analysis of Waveme is here.
On Sept. 14 2023 there are 68 negative vs. 3 positive reports, and I believe these are false positives.

Linux
By using Wine, the Windows executable can run, as is, on Linux, with the following command line:
wine waveme.exe [XML_project_file]

I tested Wine stable version 8.0 on Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS.

When Wine terminates, it prints out some (harmless) error messages.
You can suppress them, by setting an environment variable in your shell:
setenv WINEDEBUG -msvcrt

MacOS
I received reports of successfully running Waveme on MacOS, by using Wine.

Chrome OS and Android
No plan for a native version. But, as Wine releases better versions for these OSes, Waveme should run on them too.

New features:
  • Line width of any element can be adjusted between 1 - 21 pixels, instead of only being 1 pixel.
  • Clicking within the "waveform area" of an Auto-bus, Auto-signal, Time axis or Spacer row, selects the row, which is just like clicking on its row name.
  • Selected segment(s) start and end drawing unit is shown in the middle of the status bar at the bottom of the window.
