Signal & Bus Segments
Signal and bus waveforms are made of segments, which can be added and manipulated individually.
Segment selection
Select a single segment by either:
Select multiple consecutive segments:
The outline and fill of a selected segment changes to shown that the segment is selected.
Once a segment or multiple segments are selected, you can manipulate them regardless of their type, using menus, toolbar and keyboard shortcuts.
Select a single segment by either:
- pressing the left mouse button while over a segment, or
- selecting a row (shortcut: s), then pressing the Right arrow key to select the first (left-most) segment. You can then change which segment is selected with the Right, Left, Home and End keys.
Select multiple consecutive segments:
- Select the first segment (as described above).
- Then, hold down the Ctrl keyboard key, and either
click the left mouse button while over the last segment, or
repeatedly press the Right or Left arrow key to select more segments. Instead of the arrow keys, you can also press the Home and End keys to select all the way to the beginning or end of the waveform, respectively.

Copy/Paste segments
You can copy selected segments, and then paste them into the same type of a waveform as they originated from.
That means, you can copy Signal segments into other Signal waveforms, but not into Bus waveforms, and vice-versa.
Pasting can be either into a waveform in the same diagram or in another diagram.
Similarly to adding a new segment, the pasted segments are inserted to the left of any selected segments, or if none are selected, as the first segments in that waveform (i.e. left-most).
The copy/paste operation uses the computer's clipboard to store the copied segments.
